West Ham United make £17.5m Andriy Yarmolenko bid

Andriy Yarmolenko was absent from Borussia Dortmund’s lactate test on Saturday after the Bundesliga club gave him permission to speak to another club.

Sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed on Sunday (to Ruhr Nachrichten) that Dortmund are in “intensive talks” with West Ham United, who have reportedly offered £17.5 million, according to Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old arrived in Dortmund last summer for €25 million following their sale of Ousmane Dembélé to FC Barcelona. The Ukraine international has failed to establish himself as a regular since.

There has been murmurs that Yarmolenko could in fact become a West Ham player sooner rather than later.
