After signing for Borussia Dortmund, it’s emerged that Manchester City, RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg were interested in signing Dan-Axel Zagadou, report Kicker.
BVB have now signed three players from France in the past season, whilst the 18-year-old stated he joined the Bundesliga club due to their emphasis on youth.
“I made the conscious decision to sign for BVB because they are a top club that repeatedly succeed in integrating young players into the first team and continue to develop them at the highest level,” Zagadou told the club’s website. “I’m very excited about my new team-mates, the impressive stadium, the famous fans and really hope to mature into an established professional footballer in Dortmund.”
