Thomas Tuchel refuses to comment on exit rumours

Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel has refused to comment on his exit rumours, but told reporters that Arsene Wenger and Luis Enrique are a “huge inspiration”.

“What should I say? I was asked about Wenger a few weeks ago. I rather have the feeling that I am just not entitled to talk about those two.

“They are outstanding coaching personalities. Arsene Wenger is still in charge [at Arsenal], and nobody knows how long he’ll still be there. Luis Enrique has now said that he’ll continue [at Barcelona] until the end of the season.

“Both train big European clubs. That’s why I am not entitled to comment on those speculations.”

In his pre-match press conference, Tuchel praised the style of play from Arsenal, Barcelona and Ajax.

“The way they play, the passion they have for the attacking game and a certain aesthetics… It’s not only about the result. They embody something special. That’s why those three clubs, and especially those two clubs always have special coaching personalities. That’s why those clubs are a great inspiration for me. And all I can tell you right now that both coaches are a great inspiration for me.”
