Thomas Müller not for sale, despite interest from Arsenal and Liverpool

Four Premier League teams are interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller, according to Wednesday’s print edition of Sport Bild. With the arrival of James Rodriguez, it’s not a too far-fetched rumour.

With Chelsea agreeing terms with Real Madrid over Alvaro Morata, it’s unlikely they’ll now move for the German, but Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus are all said to be linked.

Although Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has denied these claims, he’s called for improved performances from Müller, who suffered a less-than-impressive spell under Carlo Ancelotti last season.

“Both the club and Thomas agree on the assessment of last season – it wasn’t a good one. [But] Thomas is still not for sale because he’s a perfect fit for Bayern. This is not a matter of discussion,” Rummenigge told Sport Bild.

Given Müller’s importance to Bayern, it’s unlikely they’ll sell unless it’s for a substantial amount. But, never say never in the transfer window.
