Rudi Völler insists Javier Hernandez is going nowhere

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Völler insists that the club does not want to sell Javier Hernandez, at least not during the winter break, despite the rumoured €25 million fee.

“In the winter it is difficult to find a reasonable alternative. We do not want to sell him, nor does he want to leave. Of course, we are a club that needs to think about crazy requests,” Völler told Monday’s edition of Kicker.

Chicharito’s girlfriend fell ill during the first half of the Bundesliga, whilst Völler says this could have been a reason for his poor form, but he says the Mexican wants to give it his all in the restart, something he couldn’t do in the first half.

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are two clubs that have been linked with the 28-year-old.
