Puma named as Borussia Mönchengladbach kit supplier from 2018/19 season

Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed they have reached a deal with Puma to supply their kits from the 2018/19 Bundesliga season.

The deal will run for six-years, with Borussia earning €8 million per-annum, with both parties having the option to extend the deal for a further two.

“Borussia’s greatest sports successes in the 1970s are strongly associated with PUMA. We are therefore very pleased to be working with PUMA once again from the 2018/19 season on and to hopefully build upon our past successes,” said Borussia sporting director, Max Eberl.

Borussia have of course being supplied by Puma before, winning the German championship of five occasions, as well as two UEFA Cup wins and one German Cup to their name whilst being with Puma.

“We are pleased that we were able to bolster our portfolio by adding one of the most traditional and successful clubs in the German Bundesliga,” said Matthias Bäumer, Area General Manager at PUMA DACH. “Our partnership with Borussia Mönchengladbach will not only strengthen our position as one of the leading football brands in Germany. It will also help us to expand our teamsport business with our trade partners. PUMA and Borussia Mönchengladbach: this partnership stands for years of success and is a story that we will continue in a creative and passionate way.”
