Palermo have completed the loan signing of Toni Sunjic from 2. Bundesliga VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season, the club confirmed.
“It’s always been my dream to play in Serie A. I am very happy with this opportunity,” the 28-year-old told Sky Sport Italia. “Italian football is very important and it’s always been my dream to play in Serie A. It is good for me to have many teammates at Palermo who are also from the Balkans. I have to train and get to know my teammates, then the Coach will decide if I play this weekend or not.”
Sunjic played 19 league games for Stuttgart last season when the club were relegated from the Bundesliga, whilst he has featured in 10 league games this campaign.
