TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have extended the contract of central defender Benjamin Hübner on a new deal until 2021. The 28-year-old was an integral part of the TSG squad that qualified for the Champions League.
Julian Nagelsmann told the club’s website: “Benni has had an unbelievable development with us. He’s a superb defender, a good header of the ball and strong in the challenge and, being left-footed, is an important part of our defence.”
Hübner added: “I feel very comfortable here. Joining Hoffenheim was, for me, the best decision. The daily work with the coach and his backroom staff, the team spirit, the trust that TSG has placed in me and, not least, the support of the fans, were all decisive factors in deciding to extend my contract here.”
