Chelsea have completed the signing of Antonio Rüdiger on a five-year deal.
The Germany international arrives from AS Roma for an initial €35m. Rüdiger is expected to have a longer summer break after being a part of the Germany squad that won the Confederations Cup in Russia.
“He is a player of proven quality. Antonio is still young but is experienced at club and international level and possesses all the requisite attributes to thrive in the Premier League,” said Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo.
