Kevin Kampl will remain at Bayer Leverkusen for the time being after his move to Beijing Guoan at the 11th hour, after a breakdown in negotiations, according to Kicker.
The two parties had agreed on a €27m fee however, reports suggest there was a disagreement over how it would be paid.
The 26-year-old has a contract with Leverkusen until 2020.
