TSG 1899 Hoffenheim head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed in a press conference on Thursday that Sandro Wagner does hold a desire to join Bayern Munich.
“It’s right, and we’ve known that for longer than yesterday. We are aware of his interest [in a move]. We will make an announcement if there’s something to announce,” said Nagelsmann.
“There are no grudges that he’s interested, but there is sympathy. It’s not my player, he belongs to the club. If the clubs reach an agreement, you try to compensate for things as a coach.”
Hoffenheim demand a €10 million fee for Wagner, according to Bild, while it looks extremely likely the 30-year-old will rejoin the club he left in 2008.
