Following concrete interest from Hamburg for Jérôme Roussillon, it’s now emerged that the Bundesliga club will keep current left-back Douglas Santos after negotiations broke down between Montpellier & HSV.
According to Hamburger Abendblatt, Roussillon was available for around €5m but has revealed that the defender is still in France, while club Montpellier club president Laurent Nicollin doesn’t want to sell.
As a result, Santos will now remain at Hamburg despite interest from PSV.
