Hertha BSC want to keep Allan de Souza on loan from Liverpool for a further year, per Kicker, but only if they qualify for the Europa League.
“We’ve lodged our wish to loan Allan for another year with Liverpool. Principally, the English are up for it, but they would like us to be a guaranteed starter in the group stages of Europa League,” Hertha sporting executive Michael Preetz told Kicker.
With one game remaining, Hertha find themselves sitting in fifth whilst they could still finish the season if seventh – if Eintracht Frankfurt beat Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal final, then that will be good enough to finish in Europe.
The 20-year-old has started seven Bundesliga games for Hertha this season.
