Languishing at the bottom of the league table, Hamburger SV are striving hard for reinforcements that will help them in their fight against relegation.
According to BILD, Hamburg are looking to sign Gremio defensive midfielder Walace whom they were interested in the summer too, after the player impressed for Brazil at Rio Olympics 2016.
Sporting director Jens Todt has reportedly travelled to Brazil to negotiate with Gremio and convince the 21 year old to join the Bundesliga club.
Walace would cost about €12-15m, according to the German outlet.
