Guillermo Varela punished by Eintracht Frankfurt for getting tattoo

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Guillermo Varela suspended by the club from the DFB Pokal final after the Manchester United loanee went against club orders to get a new tattoo.

As a result, Varela has had an inflammation on his right forearm, and has been sent back to Manchester United.

“This behaviour is grossly negligent and hurts the entire team,” Fredi Bobic, a board representative, told the club’s official website.

“Guillermo’s time here has ended with this action. The club can not tolerate a player resisting before such an important game the instructions of the coach and the doctors.

“We had already thought about a possible extension of the loan. This is no longer a matter, of course. Guillermo will be suspended with immediate effect, he will also receive a personal and very delicate punishment. We are forced to do so for the team due to such selfish behaviour.”
