Crystal Palace to hold talks with Roger Schmidt

According to The Independent, Premier League club Crystal Palace will hold talks with former Bayer Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt this week as they look to appoint a new manager before the start of the season.

Roger Schmidt also met with the officials of Palace’s league rivals Watford last month but could not agree personal terms with the club.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish is said to have been impressed by Schmidt’s style of management and the high intensity pressing football that both Red Bull Salzburg and Bayer Leverkusen played under him.
