Borussia Dortmund are close to Maximiliano Romero in January, according to Bild.
The 18-year-old had been expected to join VfB Stuttgart however, Dortmund are now the front-runners with Peter Stöger’s side expected to pay around €12 million.
Romero is highly thought of in Argentina while he has played 10 league games for Vélez Sarsfield this season, scoring four goals.
