Bayern Munich released a statement on Monday distancing themselves from a report by Bild suggesting they are to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno.
The current Bundesliga leaders have threatened the German newspaper with legal action after they suggested that Bayern Munich will make a move for Leno in January.
The statement read: “The Bild newspaper claims in its current issue that Bayern Munich want to sign Bernd Leno from Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen ‘in the winter break’.
“This reporting is without foundation. Bayern Munich will take legal action.”
