Valencia show interest in Fabian Schär

Thanks to a strong performance in this summer’s European Championship, Hoffenheim’s Fabian Schär has attracted the attention of Valencia, so reports Sportal.de.

The only obstacle to this move taking place is the Financial Fair Play rules recently imposed upon La Liga clubs by the LFP. For Schär to move, Valencia would be required to sell on one of the four central defenders currently contracted to the club.

One of these defenders, however, is Shkodran Mustafi, who is said to have agreed terms with Arsenal. Should that move go ahead, it is expected that Valencia will make an offer in the region of €12 million.

Die Kraichgauer signed Schär last summer for the sum of €4 million.
