Thomas Tuchel spoke to the media in Portugal ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League game against Sporting CP on Tuesday evening.
The Dortmund coach spoke highly of opposition number, Jorge Jesus whilst he insisted that the Bundesliga club must remain focused against a physical Sporting side.
“I know Jorge Jesus from tv. He’s a very experienced coach, coaching a very experienced side,” said Tuchel. “Sporting a good on the ball, they play very physical, have a threat on set-pieces with Dost and dangerous wingers in Martins & Ruiz.”
Sokratis and Łukasz Piszczek missed their league game against Hertha BSC, but could return against the Portuguese club.
“We’re very worried about our injury malaise. However, there is not one major reason, but every injury has individual causes. Every single injury is a painful loss. But like against Hertha, we have to trust in the available players.
“Piszczek and Sokratis trained without any complications today. We have high hopes that they can play tomorrow.”
