Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that a return date for the injured Marco Reus is “still not foreseeable.”
The 42-year-old manager was speaking after Dortmund’s 1-0 loss to Athletic Bilbao in a pre-season friendly.
It was hoped that the 27-year-old winger, who suffered the injury in the DFB Pokal final loss against Bayern Munich, would be back by mid-August, but Tuchel said that a comeback during this period would be “very surprising.”
However, Borussia Dortmund tweeted on Tuesday evening that they expect the German international to return to first team training in mid-August.
