Werder Bremen are showing interest in VfL Wolfsburg and Germany striker Max Kruse, according to Bild.
The 28-year-old has failed to fully establish himself at die Wölfe after completing a move from Borussia Mönchengladbach last summer.
Kreiszeitung claims the striker is not averse to a move to the Weserstadion, but his current salary may prove to be a stumbling block.
The Germany striker was kicked out of the Joachim Löw’s squad for the international friendlies against England and Italy in March after leaving €75,000 in the back of a taxi, and was therefore not considered for the European Championship this summer.
