Karim Bellarabi out until 2017

Awful news for Bayer Leverkusen fans as winger Karim Bellarabi will miss the rest of the calendar year with an adductor muscle injury which he sustained in the opening minutes of Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-1 home win over Hamburg.

He will undergo surgery on Wednesday and will not be available until January 2017 at the earliest. The German international has had a few injury worries throughout his career, most notably in the 2012/2013 campaign where he missed the majority of the season only managing to play in 11 games.

Leverkusen will hope for a quick and swift recovery as he has been a very important player to them over the last couple seasons.
