Julian Draxler wants to leave Wolfsburg

According to Jurek Rohrberg of Sky Deutschland, Julian Draxler has told Klaus Allofs that he wishes to depart the Bundesliga club.

Wolfsburg sporting director and coach Dieter Hecking did state last month that they hope the Germany international remains at Wolfsburg ahead of the coming season.

“When I joined Wolfsburg, they promised me that I can leave when I have the opportunity. I told them clearly I want to leave,” Draxler told BILD“It was always clear between all parties that I would like to go to a top international club if the opportunity arises.”

“The coach Dieter Hecking said in an interview, that players and their advisors have too much power. Of course my advisor Roger Wittmann considers my interests. Nevertheless, I take decisions independently. Roger Wittmann incidentally had a big part in me coming to Wolfsburg a year ago.”

“I had only spoken on the phone with coach Dieter Hecking. Two days after the semi-final defeat at the Euros I told  him, the way I see the whole situation and what I want – which is to leave the club.  Now I am back in Germany and people speak about me in the media? Instead of speaking with me personally. Now I would also like to say something about that”

Kicker have reported that Draxler was last on to the training pitch, and first off it, as his move away from Wolfsburg picks up.
