Jose Rodriguez has received a five game ban and €10,000 fine for his horror challenge on Augsburg’s Dominik Kohr.
Mainz’ Rodriguez earned a straight red for his reckless challenge, whilst the DFB came to their decision on Tuesday morning.
“The team and the player have accepted the verdict,” the German Football Association (DFB) said.
