In an interview on the club’s official website, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Jonas Hector has revealed he will not count out a contract extension.
“Well, I am sitting here. If I wanted to leave then I would not have agreed to meet and speak with all of these journalists. I would not count out a contract extension, but this matter will be handled internally. At this point there is no stress because I still have a contract until 2018,” said Hector.
“I am looking at the new season very positively,” added the 25-year-old. “We added some players that can take us further. We are well equipped. I would say there are two players for every position, and we still have two injured players that will eventually join the mix.”
