Inter Milan will again try to bring Brazilian international midfielder Luis Gustavo to San Siro once the January transfer window opens, according to Corriere dello Sport and SportItalia.
Inter want to sign a defensive midfielder in January and have already arranged a medical for Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva but they have reportedly kept him on hold as their first choice target is VfL Wolfsburg’s Luis Gustavo who was their top target last summer too.
Inter’s plan is to push hard for Gustavo and only go back to Leiva if they are unable to agree a deal with Wolfsburg.
Luis Gustavo has a contract until 2018 with the Bundesliga club.
