Fifa ethics body to investigate ex-official Helmut Sandrock

Ex-German official Helmut Sandrock will be investigated by Fifa’s ethics body after a report alleged he broke conduct rules during Germany’s World Cup 2006 bid, report BBC.

Sandrock resigned as general secretary of the German Football Association (DFB) in February, whilst the report suggests he should be fined, and should be given social work.

Fifa’s ethics committee said that Sandrock may have violated its general rules that govern conduct, loyalty and the duty of disclosure, cooperation and reporting.
