The English Football Association keen to speak with Ralf Rangnick regarding the vacant England manager job

After Sam Allardyce was sensationally forced to resign as England manager following bribery allegations, the English Football Association (FA) are busy preparing a shortlist of Allardyce’s potential replacements.

According to Sky Sports, the FA are keen to speak with former FC Schalke coach and current RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick.

The FA officials have reportedly been extremely impressed by the work Rangnick has done with Leipzig, particularly in terms of youth development and how he steered the club into the Bundesliga within four years, first as a coach and now as a director.

58 year old Rangnick, who is a fluent English speaker, was previously interviewed for the England job after EURO 2016 following the departure of Roy Hodgson, but was later informed that the job would be given to an English candidate.
