Eintracht Frankfurt could sign an unattached player in the wake of Guillermo Varela’s injury

Eintracht Frankfurt are short on options at full-back position after it was confirmed yesterday that Manchester United loanee Guillermo Varela would be out for four months due to injury.

Frankfurt coach Niko Kovac has hinted that the club could sign an unattached player as a defensive reinforcement in the wake of Varela’s injury.

” We have to think about it, there could be a conclusion soon.” Kovac said, when asked about a possible free agent signing for the club.

According to Hessenschau, former Bayer Leverkusen player Sebastian Boenisch and former Darmstadt player György Garics are potential targets for Frankfurt.
