Manchester United right-back Guillermo Varela has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a one-year loan deal.
The Under-20 Uruguay international joined the Red Devils in 2013, where he collected 21 Under-21 Premier League appearances – whilst playing four games in the top flight, one in the Champions League and one in the Europa League.
“I am looking forward to getting to know the team, the city and the stadium,” said Varela. “I have watched a few games on TV already and was impressed by the atmosphere.”
Varela is a talented youngster who will add his European experience to an Eintracht squad that finished 16th in the Bundesliga last campaign.
