Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodríguez is the subject of interest from Chelsea, according to Blick, with Jonas Hector a back-up option.
The Swiss is at the top of Antonio Conte’s list in his search for a full-back and Blick believe the 23-year-old would welcome a move away from Germany. However, Rodríguez’s buy-out clause of €25m has expired and he is still contracted until 2019.
In the event they are unable to get Rodríguez, Chelsea could also look to FC Cologne’s Jonas Hector, who has just extended his contract, or Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam.
