Rangers pursuit of striker Ryan Naderi (22) off due to unreasonable demands from Hansa Rostock

Glasgow Rangers recent €3m offer submitted to Hansa Rostock for striker Ryan Naderi is evidently not good enough for the 3. Liga outfit. Kicker reports that Rostock are hitting back hard with a counteroffer that features a minimum €3.5m base-transfer-fee. Rostock sporting director Amir Shapourzadeh also wants, bonuses, a re-sale clause, and even a guarantee that the Scottish club re-loan Naderi back out to Rostock for the duration of the 2025/26 campaign.

Can the Naderi deal still go through?

Such demands likely render it impossible that Naderi will move to Rangers. The Scottish Premiership side can easily move on to another candidate and indeed (according to Kicker and other sources) are already targeting Leeds striker Joel Piroe. Rostock remain serious about retaining Naderi as they continue their 2. Bundesliga promotion push. Naderi registered three assists in his most recent 3. Liga appearance.
