Sky Germany – as relayed by Kicker – reports that Glasgow Rangers have tendered a €3m bid for Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi. The 22-year-old is enjoying a fine season for his 3. Liga outfit, scoring four goals and adding eight assists in 17 German third division appearances this year.
Naderi ready to make significant leap
German top division sides have taken notice of the German-Czech striker as well. FC Heidenheim are rumored to be interested in Naderi too, as are RB Salzburg. Rostock should have little difficulty deciding to turn a handsome profit on the player they only paid €250,000 to acquire from the Borussia Mönchengladbach reserves some 18 months ago.
In the latest Transfermarkt update, Naderi has increased his estimated market value from €350,000 to €1.2m. In the entire history of the German third division (admittedly dating back to only 2008) only three players have been sold for more than €3m.
In all the previous cases (Hendry Blank, Yannick Engelhardt, and Georg Niedermeyer) it was larger German clubs like Dortmund, Düsseldorf, and Stuttgart who paid the vast sums to add promising players to their reserve teams.
