Kicker is currently confirming a report originating in the Rheinische Post concerning a transfer deadline day offer submitted by a Premier League club for left back Luca Netz. The name of the EPL outfit is not specified, but Netz has been linked with a Tottenham move in the past. The 22-year-old maintains a €6m estimated market value.
Netz still earns semi-regular playing time with Gladbach, but it is considered expendable by the club due the preeminence of his primary competitor Lukas Ullrich. The foals opted to extend with Ullrich earlier this month. Netz – who sits on expiring contract – will be on his way out one way or another after the season concludes.
Will Gladbach let Luca Netz go for €2.5m?
Kicker and RP may not specific which Premier League club is interested in Netz, but do specifically cite the sum offered. It stands to reason that Rouven Schröder and the BMG administrative team may try to negotiate a larger amount for Netz’s sale, but likely won’t push too hard for more. One expects Netz to be on his way to the Isle before the day is out.
