Bayer Leverkusen monitoring Fabian Hürzeler as a potential replacement for head coach Kasper Hjulmand

Sky Germany reports that Bayern Leverkusen are monitoring Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler as the long-term future of Kasper Hjulmand is in doubt.

It has been reported recently that the Dane could leave Leverkusen in the summer after they have stuttered in recent weeks in terms of their form and performances.

Due to this, die Werkself are monitoring the situation of coaches in the event that they do decide to make a change in the dugout.

One of those head coaches is Brighton’s Fabian Hürzeler. Leverkusen have previously been linked with the former St.Pauli head coach when the future of Xabi Alonso was in doubt back in 2024, but he ultimately decided to move to the Premier League.

Leverkusen’s title aims:

CEO Fernando Carro recently stated he wants to win the Bundesliga again in 2028 or 2029, so they will need a coach who can lead this team back to the top again. The stock of the Brighton manager remains high in Germany, and at 33 years old, he still has the potential to become a great head coach.
