Fabrizio Romano reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach have concluded a deal to sign midfield talent Hugo Bolin from Malmö. The twice-capped Sweden international constitutes quite the deadline day coup for the Bundesliga outfit. With an estimated market value of €6m, Bolin is the most valuable player in the Swedish top flight.
Gladbach will pay only €2m for Bolin
The Foals appeared done with incoming January transfer moves due to the fact that the club faces known budgetary restraints. Two minor sales (Charles Herrmann and Oscar Fraulo) have nevertheless given BMG sporting director Rouven Schröder and his administrative team a little wiggle room.
At the age of 22, Bolin has already accrued quite a bit of experience in the Allsvenskan. The youngster has racked up 103 Swedish top flight appearances, scoring 19 goals and registering nine assists.
