Eintracht Frankfurt candidate Marco Rose has doubts about taking the head coach role

Kicker reports that Eintracht Frankfurt’s search for a new head coach is not as smooth as they would have expected it to be.

Marco Rose has long been linked as the replacement for Dino Toppmöller, and it is expected that he will cost them around €1m due to his still having a contract at his former club, RB Leipzig.

However, Rose is said to have doubts about taking over as head coach due to the fact that high expectations will be placed upon him as soon as he arrives, something the ex-Borussia Dortmund head coach has complained about in his previous coaching roles.

Frankfurt’s plan:

Frankfurt will not be rushed when it comes to finding their replacement for Toppmöller. Current interim head coaches Dennis Schmitt and Alexander Meier will be in charge of the game against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Frankfurt’s 3-2 loss to Qarabag in the Champions League has meant they have been eliminated from the competition with one game to spare.
