Eintracht Frankfurt continues push for Bochum talent Cajetan Lenz (19)

Sky Germany reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are contiuing their push for Bochum midfielder Cajetan Lenz and hopes to finalise a deal this winter.

The plan would still be for Lenz to move to the Waldstadion in the summer, but they want to beat any competition for the 19-year-old, as there is strong interest in the midfielder from other clubs.

Frankfurt have already held talks with not only the player, but also Bochum. The fee for Lenz could be around €10-15m.

This season, the Bochum native has featured 17 times in the 2.Bundesliga, scoring twice and assisting once with the Ruhr side currently sitting 11th in the table.

Frankfurt’s busy winter:

As well as looking for a new head coach, Frankfurt have made a habit this winter of investing in talent from the lower divisions. Younes Ebnoutalib joined from 2.Bundesliga side Elversberg for €8m, before getting injured. While Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab has been plucked from the 3.Liga and Hoffenheim’s second team for €200k.

The pair both scored in their first games as an Adler.
