Everton in concrete talks to sign €22m-rated Youssef En-Nesyri

Florian Plettenberg reports that Everton are in talks to sign Youssef En-Nesyri, with concrete talks already taking place.

The Morocco international, currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, has scored seven goals across 15 Süper Lig games for Fenerbahçe this season, but he’s only played a possible 948 minutes from a possible 1350.

According to Plettenberg, Fenerbahçe are open to talks regarding either a loan move or a permanent departure, with En-Nesyri contracted until 2029.

En-Nesyri, who has struck 38 goals and provided eight assists for Fenerbahçe across all competitions, holds a current market value of €22m, per Transfermarkt.

However, a potential stumbling block for Everton is that the player doesn’t like cold climates. That’s according to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu, who reported on Nottingham Forest’s interest in the Moroccan forward, who made a name for himself at Sevilla with 73 goals in 196 games before switching to Fenerbahçe.
