Official | Freiburg ship transfer bust Eren Dinkçi (24) back to Heidenheim on loan

After being linked with multiple other Bundesliga clubs, Freiburg attacker Eren Dinkçi is officially headed back to FC Heidenheim. The 24-year-old returns to the club at which he thrived during the 2023/24 season and ultimately secured his high-value transfer to Freiburg.

Freiburg remain keen to retain the Bremen-native’s services. The six-month loan agreement does not contain a purchase option. Dinkçi still hasn’t scored a Bundesliga goal in 18 months in Breisgau, his last tally coming during his 10-goal league campaign with Heidenheim.

Statements on Eren Dinkçi’s transfer

Eren has already proven to us what exceptional footballing qualities he has in attack and that he is a great fit for us on a personal level,” FCH CEO Holger Sanwald noted in a club statement. “We are convinced that his signing until the end of the season will strengthen our team and we would like to thank SC Freiburg for making this loan possible.

I am very happy to be back at FCH,” the player himself added. “Whether at the club or in the surrounding area, I felt very comfortable in Heidenheim. That was a very important factor in my decision to take this loan. I now want to repay the trust placed in me with good performances and help the team as best I can until the end of the season to secure our place in the league again!
