Marlon Irlbacher reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach have worked a €1m sale to Cercle Brugge for midfield prospect Charles Herrmann. Rumors concerning a developmental loan deal for the protégée of current BMG head coach Eugen Polanski began cropping up earlier today. Now, a different deal appears in the works.
Cercle Brugge eager to snatch Charles Herrmann up
Irlbacher claims that the Bundesliga outfit and its Belgian Pro League counterpart are working out the final details, which will include a bonus package for the Westphalian club. Herrmann’s base-transfer-fee is in line with his current estimated market value.
Herrmann famously recorded an assist a scant six minutes into his Bundesliga debut earlier this season. The 20-year-old nevertheless hasn’t been able to log a single minute of Bundesliga action since.
The new locale should enable to Hannover-native and Germany U20 international a fabulous opportunity to accrue more playing time. Herrmann trained at both the Hannover 96 and Borussia Dortmund academies before moving to Gladbach in the summer of 2024.
