Sport1 reports that Bayern Munich are interested in Inter defender Yan-Aurel Bisseck and could become an option in the summer.
The Köln native has recently re-established himself in the Inter starting 11 after a slow campaign, which raised suggestions that he could leave in the winter, but Bisseck ultimately decided to stay at the San Siro.
Now, the 25-year-old’s appearances have caught the eye of Bayern and Max Eberl as they begin to add depth to their central defence options behind Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano and Min-Jae Kim, but the latter could leave.
The Bundesliga leaders are now monitoring the situation of Bisseck, but have yet to make any contact.
Bayern’s other options at centre-back:
With Upamecano set to sign a contract extension at Bayern, the type of centre-back they are looking for has had to change. Instead of the likes of Nico Schlotterbeck joining, they have to look for a young prospect who could develop and eventually replace Tah, who turns 30 this month.
On loan Hamburg defender Luka Vuskovic has been linked as a potential option if Tottenham are willing to sell.
