Official | Augsburg sell German Midfielder Arne Maier (27) to Pal Dardai’s Hungarian outfit

German midfielder Arne Maier’s reported on transfer to Ujpest Budapest has been officially confirmed. Maier’s Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg did not divulge how much money they received for the former Germany U21 star.

Maier’s current estimated market value stands at €2m, but it’s entirely possible that the Fuggerstädter were willing to cut a deal with Maier’s former coach and current Ujpest sporting director Pal Dardai.

After frank discussions, we have come to the decision to grant Arne his wish for a new sporting perspective,” FCA sporting director Benni Weber noted in a club statement “We have found a solution that suits all sides. We would like to thank Arne for his commitment to our club and wish him all the best for his future.
