Stuttgart set to complete ‘transfer triple pack’ with signing of former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu

Kicker is now confirming reports about another exciting incoming transfer at VfB Stuttgart. Former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-Gu may be on his way to the Bundesliga outfit. Dutch news reports suggest that Stuttgart are prepared to shell out around €27m for the 19-times-capped Taeguk international.

Stuttgart continue to react to the unexpected departure of striker Nick Woltemade and the unfortunate injury news affecting attacker Deniz Undav. The Swabians appear set to complete an attack-minced “transfer triple” pack within the span of 36 short hours.

Nice’s Badredine Bouanani has already be unveiled. Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss is due to be confirmed soon. The three new signings constitute a combined transfer outlay of around €70m. Stuttgart have clearly decided not to sit on the €90m they received for Woltemade.

Oh joined Genk from Celtic for only €2.7m last summer. A strong season in the Belgian Pro League has enabled him to raise his estimated market value to €3.5m; still nowhere close to the amount Stuttgart are reportedly prepared to pay for him.
