Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig’s Loïs Openda is set to join Juventus on a loan that will include an obligation to buy.
The Belgian is already in Turin ahead of completing the deal. The move will be a one-year loan with a fee of €4m, the obligation to buy will be worth €42m, and then there is also potential add-ons worth €5m. Meaning the total cost of the deal could be €51m.
Leipzig have moved quickly to replace Openda. With the Belgian’s departure, Sporting’s Conrad Harder will be his replacement.
This means that this summer, Leipzig has completely refreshed their attacking options. Last season, Openda, Xavi Simons and Benjamin Seško were their main options.
This season, it will be new signings: Romulo, Yan Diomande, Johan Bakayoko and Harder, on top of Antonio Nusa who’s first season at the Red Bull Arena was riddled by injuries.
Leipzig won their first Bundesliga game of the season at the weekend when they beat Heidenheim 2-0, thanks to goals from Christoph Baumgartner and Romulo.
