Kicker report that PSV are in talks to sign Bayern Munich’s Paul Wanner (19). But although discussions have taken place, nothing has yet materialised with the Dutch champions holding loose interest.
There could also be a permanent future for the attacking-midfielder at Bayern. It was reported last month that Wanner could also be loaned out again. Werder Bremen, now coached by Horst Steffen who coached Wanner at Elversberg, have shown interest in the 19-year-old. But just how concrete PSV’s interest in the German youth international is remains to be seen. Their relationship with Bayern Munich is also somewhat a positive one following their signing of Malik Tillman on loan in 2023 and then on a permanent basis.
Wanner returned to Bayern Munich after spending last season on loan at fellow Bundesliga side Heidenheim, where he scored three goals and provided three assists in 31 league games, including the relegation playoff win against Elversberg. With Jamal Musiala sidelined with a fractured fibula, Bayern have a use for Wanner who could yet remain at the club beyond the summer.
