2026 FIFA World Cup qualification | Predicted Germany XI vs Luxembourg – Will Nagelsmann’s side qualify?

The international break is upon us once again and Germany travel to Group A’s whipping boys, Luxembourg, on Friday evening. Julian Nagelsmann’s team will look to secure their place at next summer’s World Cup in North America.

Germany’s national coach will have to contend with a couple of injuries. The DFB have confirmed that Nico Schlotterbeck will not be available for Friday’s game but could return to the lineup on Monday when  they host Slovakia in Leipzig.

Mainz midfielder Nadiem Amiri has withdrawn from this month’s camp entirely and has been replaced by Leipzig playmaker Assan Ouédraogo, who could make his senior national team debut at some point this weekend. Also missing is suspended Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.

Already in pole position to qualify automatically ahead of Slovakia, Germany will be looking to score a few goals in Luxembourg to solidify their grip on top spot in Group A before Monday’s showdown.
