Borussia Dortmund go in search of back-to-back Bundesliga wins when they travel to Augsburg in the curtain raiser for Matchday 9.
After their penalty win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday night, Niko Kovač hinted that he will make changes to his squad against Sandro Wagner’s Augsburg.
That is likely to come in the form of Serhou Guirassy, who started on the bench against Eintracht. The Guinean forward has now gone five games without a goal but Kovač backed his misfiring striker, who is expected form an attacking trio alongside Maximilian Beier and Karim Adeyemi.
As Augsburg go in search of their first win since Matchday 6, Wagner is handed a welcomed boost with the return of Chrislain Matsima, who was substituted in their 1-0 German Cup defeat against Bochum because of an injury.
Another noticeable loss for the Fuggerstädter is club captain Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, who has been sidelined with a torn medial ligament in his left knee since September 24.
