Sport Bild reports that Manchester United are making a concerted effort to acquire Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi. The German tabloid claims that the Premier League outfit has made contact with Adeyemi’s new agent Jorge Mendes. Adeyemi’s current contract with his Bundesliga club runs until 2027.
Adeyemi is known to be negotiations with Dortmund over a new deal, but wants an exit clause built into his contract before he extends. BVB are rumored to be against this idea and it appears as if Adeyemi’s current relationship with head coach Niko Kovac is strained.
Mendes is known for helping organize blockbuster transfers. As the January transfer window draws nearer, so too could Adeyemi’s departure from the Ruhrpott. Adeyemi’s new agent already represents United professionals such as Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte.
The 23-year-old presently finds himself in excellent form. Germany’s Transfermarkt opted to raise Adeyemi’s estimated market value from €45m to €60m in the October round of updates. The Munich-native has also once again been called up to the German national team.
